I’m a young woman from the Midwest. I come from the southern farmlands of Illinois. I use oil paints and sometimes sculpture to explore subjects such as surrealism, abstract, illusions, fantasy, allegory, explicit content, and more. 

 

Most people consider artists to be sensitive or delicate people. That may be true however I intend to shock you. I want the imagery you see to encourage you to confront your own beliefs. It is my mission to showcase the beauty and horrors of reality in all aspects of life; and to encourage the viewer to examine the work on a psychological and philosophical level.

 

Lucian Freud said the task of the artist is to make the human being uncomfortable. I hope I make you uncomfortable. The vibrant colors and organic shapes. I create bold and expressive compositions. I use the anatomy and facial expressions of humans to highlight the psychological layer of my work.

Modern music, Salvador Dali, and Frida Kahlo are classic inspirations for my work.

 

Every work of art that leaves my studio is a piece of me, a part of my soul that I want to share with you. These works of art are visions that I yearned to make real.

I hope that I inspire you to make your visions a reality.
